Dictionary
Roleplay can be confusing, especially to ones who are new to it. This "dictionary" was made to make things more clear and less confusing! Also listing a few other things you may see around the site.

Roleplay Meanings
RP- A shortened form of Role-play
OC- Original Character
OOC- Out Of Character. Meaning anything out of the role-play.
IC- In Character. Meaning anything within the role-play or partaking in the role-play.
Metagaming- Using OOC information about a character/scenario/etc. to determine your character's actions/thoughts/knowledge.
Liquid RP- A.K.A. liquid roleplay. A style of roleplay that allows members to create their own threads and have characters be in more than one thread at once. Learn more about liquid rp here.
Fade/Fade to black- When a thread is completed or the contents of an rp scene are not allowed, members will "fade" the roleplay and either lock the thread or pick up their next posts by skipping over the prohibited content.
Powerplay/Godmodding: Where a character is being indestructible or unstoppable their posts. For example, a wolf being successful in a hunt every time and in a single post, or your wolf hitting their opponent without permission or room for error in a fight. Another example is taking control of someone else's OC's actions in a post.
Site Meanings
Administrator- Owner of the site, they have the most power and can change anything.
Admin- Shortened form of administrator
Moderator- A staff member of the site, has the second most power.
Mod- Shortened form of moderator.
Avatar- The icon image you can have in your profile. Also called profile image, icon, pfp, av, or avvie.
Av/Avvie- A shortened form of Avatar.
Signature- The text you can put in your profile, will appear at the bottom of all of your post.
Sig/Siggie- A shortened form of Signature.
FV- The abbreviation of Fire Valley.
Backseat Moderating- When a member that is not a part of the staff team tries to reprimand or warn another member for breaking the rules, instead of properly reporting them to an admin or mod.
Board: A place where threads are posted. Example: "The Northern Valley" is a board.
Category: A place where boards of similiar subjects are placed under. Example: "News & Announcements" is a category.
PM- Private or personal message.
