So, this is something I randomly wrote apparently this summer (according to the pages app on my phone) so here it is!
Liara ran through her dance routine once more. She was practicing in her living room for the performance she had the next day. “One, two, three, spin five-six. One sashay three, pivot-turn, step-touch.” She murmured as the song came to an end. Her favorite thing was to dance, and she had choreographed the routine herself. Liara walked over to the wall, picking up her water bottle and chugging it down. Then, she pulled her auburn hair down from its messy bun, setting it free. She grabbed her water bottle and clomped up the stairs to her dormer in the attic. Her eyes darted to the dark purple watch on her lightly tanned skin. 9:54 PM. Time for her to get to bed, if she wanted to be aware tomorrow morning.
Liara set her blue water bottle on the oak desk facing the large bay window. She had a gorgeous view of the birch forest that was quickly changing colors from the bright green of summer to the brilliant sunny yellows and dazzling oranges of autumn. She laid her light pink cardigan across her desk chair and looked out at the amazing sunset. Wow. It shocked her every time, how the large ball of fire in the sky could be so gorgeous. Her Yorkie, Caramel, jumped up onto her bed and Liara followed her lead. She fell asleep looking up at the old glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling.
The sun rose over the horizon, turning the already colorful trees to a color like liquid gold. Liara yawned, sitting up. She rubbed her eyes, and shook her head so that her hair might look normal. Her feet hit the floor with a quiet ‘plop’ and she went downstairs, where her mom was making pancakes. They smelled, and were, delicious.
So, I know this isn’t really long, nor is it finished, but I would really appreciate any feedback.
