Hey everyone! This story will go over Naledi's background and eventually intertwine with the role-play. It is still a work in progress but if you enjoy, I'll post more of the story. Feel free to leave creative criticism Also, I'm still trying to figure out the title, you can leave suggestions if you want.
I am making a document for all the characters in Naledi's pack with the ranks and description format of the Fire Valley Pack. I like to do this before writing a story so I can really kind of get to know the characters. If you're interested in looking at it, you can message me.

Naledi
Mist cascaded over the grassy landscape as the sun rose slowly into the sky. Everything was silent except for the soft pawsteps heading towards the den. Naledi’s ears swiveled as she heard the sound. She lifted her head and faced the entrance of the cozy hole that she called home. Her sisters and single brother whined and shifted, waiting for their mother. But Naledi knew something was wrong, the steps were too light to be her mother’s. Maybe Quince? Quince was a small young wolf, only barely a year old. He was part of the previous litter and often came back early from hunts. However, the scent was different. Naledi had never scented this animal before. She backed up and growled as the head peeked in the den. The animal was like a small wolf, gold and brown in color. It grabbed Naledi’s ear and attempted to drag her out. Naledi struggled and squirmed, eventually leading to her ear ripping off. She whimpered from the pain and snapped at the animal’s leg. She was too slow to get a hold on it but her mother wasn’t. Misty grabbed it by the neck and Naledi watched as she tore the poor creature apart. Only seconds later the animal was dead and the rest of the pack had returned. Misty turned to Naledi and gently licked her ear before the rest of the puppies trampled over her for food.

Naledi’s ear twitched at the sounds of the birds announcing sunrise. The warmth of her mother’s fur surrounded her. Batair, her brother, shifted beside her and let out a whine. Misty licked Batair to reassure him. The small wolf pup yipped in response, waking the others. Before long, Misty was crawling out of the den with the pups following. Naledi trotted out onto the prickly grass. Her eyes were adjusting to the bright light when something jumped her, pushing her over. She instinctively pushed the the creature off and nipped at its ear. But it was too fast for Naledi and was behind her, attacking her back leg, before she got a hold of it. The wolf pup looked back at the creature and noticed it was merely her sister Rein. Not wanting to be defeated by her smaller sister, she plopped her butt down and twisted to attack her head. Rein rolled onto her back and held her sisters head with her front paws while chewing on her neck fur and kicking at her face with her back paws. Naledi shook her off, toppled on top of her and held her down by the neck.
“Okay, okay, you win!” Rein whined while still squirming under her sister. Naledi let go, raising her tail with confidence. “Don’t get too confident now, you’re still just a pup.” Her father’s deep, rough voice rang through the plains. His voice was gentle yet commanding, it always soothed Naledi.
“But I can take on anything dad!” Naledi shouted, showing off her moves by swatting at Luka’s legs.
Luka laughed and raised his leg, “You still have a lot to learn, young one.”
Naledi looked up at her father, staring into his deep yellow eyes. Luka was a big powerful wolf, dark in color with lighter grey and brown specks through his fur. However, white had started to appear around his chin, showing his older age. The young wolf pup, though the biggest out of her litter, was tiny compared to him. Misty, much smaller than her mate, came over and gave Luka a lick on the face.
“She’ll grow to be a strong fighter, I know it,” Misty said in her soft voice. Misty was the opposite of Luka, she was small and light in color. Her belly, legs, and chest being covered in white with a certain color covering the rest of her that Naledi could only describe as gold. She was quite a beautiful wolf.
“See Dad! Mom knows what she’s talking about,” Naledi said. Her tail began to wag at the thought of being as powerful as her father, winning every fight, defeating coyotes, bears, and cougars, oh my!
She was pulled out of her thoughts when howls echoed through the land. It was a stranger pack. On her pack's territory. Misty hurried Naledi and the other pups into the den. Naledi peeked out of the den and watched as the pack charged off towards the howls. All Naledi could do was wait and hope.
Batair nudged Naledi. "What's gonna happen?" He asked in a worried tone. Naledi tried to say "I don't know" but only a mere whisper came out. Her and her siblings curled up together. Amari, one of Naledi's sisters, tried to calm everybody but her efforts came out to nothing.
It was a painfully long time before Misty crawled her way into the den. The pups happily ran to greet her. The golden wolf licked her pups and laid down in the back of the den. Amari, Rein, and Batair curled up next to her but Naledi went to find her father. Luka was outside of the den, nurturing his wounds. Naledi bounded towards him. Her father looked at the little pup, "What are you doing out of the den?"
"I wanted to see if you were okay," Naledi said.
"I'm perfectly fine, just simple surface wounds, nothing serious," Luka spoke, reassuring his daughter.
Naledi looked around her. Everyone seemed to have been relatively okay after the fight, this time. But she couldn't stop thinking if there would be a next time. And if there was, would everyone come out okay again?
